Tianyu K-Touch Treasure V8 hands-on at Mobile World Congress 2012 (video)

Ever heard of Tianyu? You probably haven't, but that's why the Chinese manufacturer left most of the heavy PR lifting for its ICS-equipped, quad-core phone to NVIDIA at this year's Mobile World Congress 2012. Details on this Tegra 3-based Android handset are admittedly scarce for the time being, but from what we were able to glean, the 4.3-incher should be able to hold its own in the high-end smartphone market. Aside from an 8 megapixel shooter with single LED flash on its back and the aforementioned CPU clocked at 1.5GHz, there's not much else to divulge spec-wise.

In terms of build, the design is a mixed bag. From afar, the Treasure V8 appears sleek and even (dare we say it?) sexy, but once the unit's in hand, you'll notice the cheapness of the glossy, white plastic enclosure. A metal trim borders the device lending to the mix of high and low quality materials used in its construction, but actually makes the phone uncomfortable to hold. The screen also tapers in towards the edges, leaving a ridge to form that's unpleasant in the hand. It doesn't appear that this is the final build of the product and it could even wind up becoming sleeker as it approaches an indeterminate launch, so there's room for improvement. Of course, pricing and availability for China are also unknowns, but we have a feeling that could very well be resolved in the coming weeks. Check out the gallery below and head on past the break for a brief video tour.

Video: 36 cars fall through ice at Wisconsin fishing tournament

sunken aztek

This winter hasn't been quite as cold as it could have been, but in Wisconsin, there have been enough sub-freezing days for lakes to develop about of foot-thick coating of ice. That's enough ice for some good ice fishing, but it apparently isn't thick enough to use as a high-traffic parking lot.

Frozen anglers at a Lake Winnebago, Wisconsin fishing tournament decided to park in close proximity to one another on the ice with predictably disastrous results. Hit the jump to watch the Twin Cities' Fox News 9 and its coverage of tow trucks plucking vehicle after vehicle out of the appropriately named Lake Winnebago. We saw quite a few pricey pickup trucks being pulled out of the deep, but we're thinking the pea-green Pontiac Aztek could have been left in the lake long before the incident.

Spy Shots: Kimi Raikkonen to unveil special edition Lotus Evora in Geneva

2012 Lotus Evora GTE F1 edition

What good is it having an F1 team to your name if you can't leverage it into a special edition sportscar and have the world champion you just signed unveil it in front of the gathered masses? That's what Lotus seems to be thinking as the British automaker is reportedly preparing to unveil a special edition Evora at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show.

The model in question - expected to be joined by a convertible Evora as well - is tipped to be based on the top-spec, 444-horsepower Evora GTE, but with the black and gold livery featured on the company's F1 cars... as well as its other racing cars currently proliferating into racing series around the world.

The car will reportedly be unveiled by Kimi Raikkonen, the 2007 Formula One world champion recently signed to return to F1 with Lotus this year. However fast Kimi is, however, the paparazzi seem to be faster as the car in question was snapped at the Jerez circuit in Spain ahead of its official unveiling just over a week from now.

Delta expands network in China

by CNNGo staff

As many as a million Chinese tourists traveled to the United States in 2011.

Those numbers are expected to increase by up to 40 percent in 2012, in part due to the new streamlined U.S. visa policy for Chinese visitors.

Reacting to the rapidly growing market, Delta Air Lines has announced that it is expanding its codesharing partnership with two of China's biggest carriers -- China Eastern and China Southern -- in order to enhance its China market presence.

Bigger and better

The new agreements, approved by Civil Aviation Administration of China on February 15, will allow both Chinese carriers to stick their codes and flight numbers on Delta-operated flights between Seattle and Beijing.

China Eastern will also piggyback Delta-operated flights between Detroit and Beijing.
