?King Mo? interview: Former international grappling star breaks says Lesnar might have trouble getting Overeem down

?King Mo? interview: Former international grappling star breaks says Lesnar might have trouble getting Overeem downThere's little mystery about what happens Friday night when Brock Lesnar faces Alistair Overeem at UFC 141.

If the fight hits the mat for an extended period of time, Lesnar wins it. If Overeem stays on his feet and it's a battle of strikes, Lesnar's in for a long night.

Lesnar says no one has been able to avoid his takedowns, but that's not entirely true because both Shane Carwin and Cain Velasquez did so in spots and battered Lesnar. They're also both former high level college wrestlers. Overeem is not, but he is powerful and very experienced.

Muhammed Lawal, a light heavyweight with Strikeforce, knows his wrestling and says that Lesnar can't just run across the cage and tackle Overeem.

"He has to Chael Sonnen or Jon Fitch him, and close the distance right away with a jab or a fake. Just keep him guessing," Lawal told "The MMA Insiders" on ESPN1100/98.9 FM in Las Vegas (0:40 mark). "He has a tough task with Overeem. All he has to do is be Overeem, He can keep the fight close and use his knees or keep his distance with leg kicks and a good 1-2."

?King Mo? interview: Former international grappling star breaks says Lesnar might have trouble getting Overeem down

Lawal, a former star on the international wrestling scene after a decorated career at Oklahoma State, further explained the fakes.

"If I were Brock, I would establish a good jab, fake ... jab, fake ... fake, jab. Look to shoot off the fakes. You know in wrestling. if the person doesn't respond to your fakes then you shoot next time. If the person responds to your fakes then you throw punches," said Lawal.

If Overeem can read those fakes, Lesnar is going to be left with few options.

"It's going to be very important for Brock to set up his takedowns because without the setups, he's getting knocked out or hurt," Lawal said. "Overeem is the wrong person to shoot on out of the blue."

Quadrocopters don creepy eyes, build synthetic Christmas tree of envy (video)

First we let them play music, then they started juggling. Now quadrocopters are feeling emotions as well; namely, jealousy. One of Flying Machine Arena's dainty quadrocopters, nicknamed Juliet, was compelled to build its own synthetic Christmas tree after spying an authentic fir through a glass window. Sure, stacked bricks of festive foam seem innocent enough, but look into those ping-pong ball eyes and tell us you aren't a little worried that next year's "war on Christmas" will be the machine's war on humans. Fly past the break to see Juliet's envious construction project for yourself.

Dana White responds to Twitter troll with prison rape joke

Remember how just last week, UFC president Dana White cut Miguel Torres for making a rape joke? And reprimanded Rashad Evans for using the Penn St. child abuse case in trash talk? White said at the time that Torres' remark about a rape van is not funny and disturbing.

Yesterday, White responded to a follower who was clearly trying to bait him by making a prison rape joke. (Click the link above for the uncensored tweet.)

Dana White responds to Twitter troll with prison rape joke

"Dicker410" is inexcusable. He said that White's death would be great, which is a hair shy of a death threat. But in responding to this troll with a joke about prison rape, White lowered himself to Dicker410's level.

Anyone with a profile in MMA has been baited by someone hoping for an explosive response. I'm a lowly writer in the sport, and it happens to me daily. You have to learn not to take the bait and give the troll the response that he or she wants. You definitely have to learn not to respond with jokes about rape.

When asked about a code of conduct for his fighters, White said that sometimes he needs a code of conduct for his actions on Twitter. It's simple, Dana. Don't respond to trolls, and hold yourself to the same standards as your athletes.

Video: Hyundai lets you play racing game on Times Square big screen using your iPhone

veloster racing game

Playing a racing game on the big screen can sometimes feel a bit like the real thing, but what happens when the screen is larger than life? Hyundai has created a new iPhone driving game for the Veloster that is interactive on a level that most gamers can only dream of.

If you happen to be in Times Square between now and the end of the year, you can play the game on the massive LED screen on 47th Street and Broadway. In fact, there are a pair of video screens, so up to two players can play at once. We're guessing this screen beats the two-player setup on most 70-inch LED television screens at home.

Hit the jump
to watch Hyundai Race for yourself. And if you will be finding yourself in The Big Apple before New Year's Day, make sure to download Hyundai Race and get in line... we're guessing there will be quite a few gamers waiting for a shot at the big screen.

Justin Bieber Debuts New Song, 'Be Alright'

MTV News' #5 Newsmaker of 2011 tells 'Home for the Holidays' audience in Toronto that the tune might appear on his next album.

Much like Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber is treating his crew of Beliebers to some new music right in time for the Christmas holiday. On Wednesday night, the pop superstar debuted a new track called "Be Alright" to a jam-packed crowd during his Toronto-based TV concert special, "Justin Bieber: Home for the Holidays," which airs Thursday night (December 22) on MuchMusic and CTV.

"You might hear this on my next album, you might not, but it's a song I'm working on. I still haven't really finished it," Bieber told the screaming crowd, before unveiling the acoustic tune. "Basically, the concept is: Even though when times get hard with your girlfriend or boyfriend, when times get hard, you gotta just let them know that in the end, everything's gonna be alright."

Sitting beside his guitarist, MTV News' #5 Newsmaker of 2011 crooned to the slow jam as the audience clapped their way through his performance, and later on, helped the star sing along to the simple hook. "Across the ocean, across the sea/ Starting to forget the way you look at me now/ Over the ocean and across the sky/ Starting to forget the way you look in my eyes," he sang.

After the holiday special, the teen singer took to Twitter to share his thoughts on the memorable evening, writing, "Tonight was special. No rules. Music, family, friends, fans, charity, and music. Thank you. #HomeForTheHolidays."

"Be Alright" is just a taste of what may come from the singer's next album release. MTV News recently spoke with JB's longtime vocal producer, Kuk Harrell, who discussed his thoughts about the pop star's transition into adulthood.

"The only conversation we've had about Justin's album that we're about to do is it's really important that it's the proper transition because we've seen him [with] 'Baby,' now we're watching him grow up," Harrell told us. "And we can't just throw him into the adult game right away. It has to be the proper transition. There's a record in between."

Richard Rhodes' biography of beautiful and intelligent inventor/movie star, Hedy Lamarr is reviewed by David Strom. Google Augmented Reality Glasses Could Come Soon, What Would They Mean?

Marshall talks about what life might be like with Google's Augmented Reality glasses. The glasses, oft rumored, are apparently closer to reality than most of us realized. Looking at the future of life with these glasses seems bright and full of promise.

From the comments:

sparroww - "OK, let's start with the obvious.

With these glasses and the right motion based software you can have the equivalent of an enormous monitor. You move your head to the right and it shows you your "right monitor", same to the left, up down, etc.

People who work in situations where they need to look at the real world, but can benefit from a display can use this. Imagine a warehouse where all the employees know where to go, what to take off the shelf, where to put it, etc based on what their display tells them. Your dentist, doctor, etc, can look things up in real time while chatting with you without taking their eyes off you. For that matter then can do an easy side to side between your skin and the one they have on the display to see if this rash you have is serious.
Drivers will need to be careful using these, but it sure beats taking your eyes off the road to look at your GPS.

Construction people can superimpose the plans over the building while their working on it. There's so much more."

2012 Predictions, Mobile Edition: Dan Rowinski

2011 saw the biggest boom in personal computing since the Apple II invaded homes and offices across the world. This time around it was not a desktop computer, or even some fancy new laptop. Enterprises are scrambling to handle the era of "bring-your-own-device" and it is, at times, a painful process. More

How Did Firefox Fare in 2011? (Infographic)

Well, 2011 didn't see the beginning of the end of Firefox after all. That is, Google renewed its agreement with Mozilla, ensuring the nonprofit's popular browser wouldn't lose 84% of its revenue and thus face the ominous fate that some predicted and others decried as unrealistic.

The browser was knocked from its #2 slot behind Internet Explorer, though, at least according to one company's stats. The culprit? Google's Chrome, a browser half Firefox's age.

In Chrome, Firefox has found a worthy and fast-rising competitor, but it's too soon to write off the beloved open source browser. Its future may be difficult to predict, but an infographic released by Mozilla today illustrates a pretty active year for Firefox. In addition to major performance upgrades and slow mobile progress, the browser saw its release cycle speed up and added 83 new features and 135 new APIs.
